EPL: Guardiola keen to sign Samuel Chukwueze for Man City

Manchester City are the latest Premier League side, that are looking to sign Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal, according to the Daily Mail.

City have joined Liverpool and Chelsea in the chase for the Super Eagles winger.

The Reds are believed to have seen a bid of €35million for Chukwueze rejected in January.

The 20-year-old has a 65million release clause in his contract.

However, Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the Nigerian and will fight off competition to bring him to the Etihad in the summer.

With Leroy Sane still heavily linked with Bayern Munich, Guardiola is expected to be in the market for wide men.

Chukwueze has netted four goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances this season.

Coronavirus: Japan set to repatriate 200 citizens from Wuhan

Japan will send a chartered flight to the central Chinese city of Wuhan later in the day to repatriate about 200 of its citizens, the government says. The government will also send doctors, nurses and quarantine officers so that those Japanese citizens can undergo checkups on a plane, according to the health ministry. The aircraft is scheduled to come back to Japan on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi says. Since a total of 650 Japanese in Wuhan wish to return, the government will send more flights to take them home, Motegi says. The Grammy awards got underway Sunday with superstars Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X primed for glory — as grief over the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant cast a pall on music’s marquee night in Los Angeles.
